You can't trust any information on the Okonomi net because it is decentralized. (There is no secure place to store any information.) However, there needs to be some way of confirming users' identities.

My solution is to assign every user a public and private key which can be used for encryption and decription. An ID is generated from a user's public key and username. This is a one way hash function. Something like MD5, except that it might be shorter so that people can recognize it. Maybe the number can be converted into some phonetic sequences so that it is easier to remeber. But I digress. Users sign documents with their public key, username, and ID. To verify the signature, the user's public key is used, and the ID is verified.
