If you haven't seen Dasher, you might want to check it out. Dasher is an alternative text input system where the user points to letters as they scroll to the left. More likely letters are larger, and as you aproach a letter, it gets bigger.
So, the big question is, how can I apply wavelets to this? How about this: you display an image, and to the right you display a selection of images with the more similar images larger. Similarity determined by wavelet signatures.
Maybe something like this would be useful if you had a huge image database and wanted to visually search for something you need for a presentation.# -
